Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Perfect Square Learning Summer Camp?
Perfect Square Learning Summer Camp is intended to motivate and inspire bright and high-achieving students to reach new levels in their mathematical ability.  Students will be challenged with unique problem solving and logical reasoning experiences, as well as more advanced math concepts.  They will explore the thought-provoking game of Chess, as well as other enjoyable logic games.

Does my child have to be in the TAG, PACE, or Quest program to qualify to attend Perfect Square Learning?
No.  The curriculum of Perfect Square Learning, however, is rigorous and is created for highly-motivated students with a strong aptitude for math.

Are different aged children in the same camp?
Yes.  Students will be clustered into small groups within a camp session according to their skill level.  This way, all students are challenged according to their unique academic needs, rather than by their age or grade level.

Can I sign my child up for more than one camp?
Yes.  Children who sign up for both camps will have their learning multiplied by two!  All instruction is based on each student's individual academic needs and, therefore, instruction will not be repeated.

What is the difference between a 3-hour per day camp and a 7-hour per day camp?
The 3-hour camp and the 7-hour camp will focus on the same mathematical concepts of problem solving, logical reasoning, and core mathematics concepts.  If your child is able to attend the 7-hour camp, we will go into further depth and complexity in all math areas.  The students who attend the all-day camp will have more time to explore pre-Algebra concepts and Chess strategy.

Do you provide lunch with the 7-hour camp?
No. You must send a peanut-free sack lunch with your child.  We will provide a mid-morning snack and a mid-afternoon snack.  Please send a filled water bottle to camp with your child, as well.
